There are some pictures here from the morning, but my favorites I took of the television screen as "It's a Wonderful Life" was playing. The concept reminds me of my friend Amy's choreography series where she translated dance movement to drawing (check out her website, she's an incredible artist). I've tried translating this idea to photography by taking a series of movement pictures and layering them in PS, but the bottom layers are lost the more layers you put on top of them. This way works much better since the television feed isn't continuous but oscillates at a given frequency that we can't see with our naked eye but the camera sees. It would be interesting to see the difference between different types of TVs, too. I will definitely be experimenting more with this.

LAURA! I just discovered your photo blog! Imagine how surprised (and honored) I was to be mentioned by wonderful you. :) I was admiring your motion photos in your more recent blog posts, but I especially like the black/white "It's a Wonderful Life" pics on this page. The repetition is great, and even more defined because you use the full gray-scale. Keep up the awesome work!
