Day 7 - HDR

I've been trying to mess around with HDR, not very successfully. I downloaded Picturenaut and tested a few pictures with it. First is an HDR made from 5 images at different shutter speeds:



It basically looks like the blurry version of the middle exposure of the series. Hence the reason why you see lots of HDR landscapes and very few HDR pictures of inside someone's poorly-lit apartment. I was also having some issues with shake from hitting the shutter. I will try the 2 sec timer next time to see if that helps.

The next photos I tried to artificially generate different exposures in Photoshop by changing either the levels (the first two) or the brightness (the last). The first I think comes the closest. The other two come nowhere close to HDR but I think they look cool anyway.









It's days like this that I feel severely limited by my lack of technical skill and equipment. I just have to read more and keep trying.
